AMC Plans Breaking Bad Saul Goodman Spin-off
The only Breaking Bad series finale spoiler we’re sure of is that Saul Goodman makes it out alive. AMC and series creator Vince Gilligan are planning a spin-off that will revolve around Bob Odenkirk’s shady criminal lawyer.
The final 8 episodes of Breaking Bad Season 5 will begin airing this summer, but it may not be the last we hear from the series. Though death looms around every major character, it seems that Saul will live to see another case. This new show is being conceived as a comedy, with the idea still in the very early stages of development. If the show gets the greenlight on AMC, Vince Gilligan will steer the production alongside Breaking Bad producer and writer Peter Gould.
Vince Gilligan first hinted at this potential spin-off earlier this year, when he attended the WGA Awards. This is what he had to say about the show at that time.
“In my mind’s eye, I would like to see a Saul Goodman spin-off. I would love that. So maybe we’ll try to get that going.”
